iTablet: a powerfull alternative to Apple iPad




X2 Computing have launched an iTablet - their new tablet PC which suppose to be in direct competition with Apple's iPad. Note, the name iTablet, wasn't trademarked by Apple, so other brand can freely use it. Commercial launch of iTablet is scheduled for April of this year. New device will be available in two modifications: with 10.2" and 12.1" screens, both having maximum resolution of 1024x768 pixels.

Customers will also have options to purchase a model featuring multi-touch technology, customize HDD size(up to 250Gb) and add a HDMI port. All X2 Computing iTablet models will have 1.3 mp camera, WiFi, Bkuetooth and 3G, built-in audio, 3 USB ports, graphics acelerator and Intel Atom 1.6Gz CPU.
This new device work under Windows 7 or Linux.

Haleron launches tablet PC for 150$




Recently Haleron have updated their products catalog with the new Tablet PC with the name iLet mini. This new product is using touch-enabled 7" display with the resolution of 800x480 pixels and is backed up by 300Mhz VIA processor.

As for the rest of the technical specifications of this model, it holds 128Mb RAM, 1Gb of flash memory, 10/100 Ethernet, Wifi adapter, supports SD/MMC cards and two USB 2.0 ports. Possible options include Bluetooth module and a GPS reciever.

The iLetMini works under Windows CE 6.9 or Linux. The size of a new tablet is 188×114×24mm. One battery charge should last about six hours of work.

It is expected that new product will be availavle at the price around 150$ for base model.

Apple is loosing the tablet PC market

MSI says "Hi" to Apple




Micro-Star International (MSI) is preparing launch of their new product: Tablet PC based on NVIDIA Tegra 2, so said MSI's commercial director Sambora Chen.

This device must be released in second hald of 2010 and would cost around 500$. Mister Chen also mentioned that device will have 10" touch-sensitive colour screen, would support wireless connections, will be light and thin while also having all standart laptop functions.


MSI is preparing quite flexible model range for device and will come up with different models based on market demand.
